Every hour, another person in the UK loses their sight and if this happens to you, Guide Dogs wants to be there to make sure you don't lose your freedom as well. To help us continue our life-changing work, we rely on donations from individuals '“ the guide dog service does not receive any government funding. There are almost two million people in the UK living with sight loss today, a number which is predicted to double to four million by 2050, so we need your support to reach as many people who are blind or partially sighted as possible. That's why we're asking people to donate an hour of their time during Guide Dog Week to help us raise the vital funds we need so that people with sight loss can move around safely and with confidence.

On October 1 and 2 we will be in Sainsbury’s in Ponteland and on 2nd October we will also be in Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth raising money to enable people to live the lives they want to and deserve to. All you need to join in is to be over 16 years old and have an hour of spare time.
