The North East played host to thousands of runners as the Great North Run returned for another year.
The iconic half marathon took place on Sunday, September 13, as more than 60,000 people looked to run 13.1 miles from Newcastle city centre to the South Shields coast.
As always, the popular event brought out the crowds and the North East didn’t disappoint when showing its support for the run.
