Tesco apologises over 'Jimmy Savile' marmalade
Kate Shepherd, owner of Whisky River in Durham City, was perplexed to be sent a 12oz jar of Mackays seville orange marmalade with the "E" replaced by an "A" in seville to read SAVILLE, with "Jimmy" scrawled above.
The conserve vandal neglected, however, to scratch out one of the "L"s to correctly spell the former TV personality, whose name is now synonymous with a horrific sex abuse scandal.

She tweeted a picture of the offending item, telling her followers: "So I had my @Tesco shopping delivered and someone has written on my marmalade... @Tesco staff must have a lot of time on their hands!"
The tweet was picked up by Good Morning Britain presenter Rachel Sweeney, who subsequently took up the cause with Tesco, and reported an apology on the ITV News website.
A Tesco spokesman is quoted as saying: "This is clearly unacceptable and we are investigating how this could have happened. We have apologised to Ms Shepherd, and offered her a full refund and a voucher off her next shop with Tesco."
