Thanks for stepping out

On May 21 Parkinson's UK held the Walk for Parkinson's '“ Quayside which saw an army of cyan blue t-shirts roaming along the Gateshead/Newcastle Quayside and River Tyne.

A total of 108 supporters walked 1.5, 5.5 or 7 miles to raise funds for the charity. The energy and enthusiasm of the walkers was fantastic and we even had some beautiful sunshine.

On behalf of Parkinson’s UK, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who walked, sponsored and volunteered on the day. To date we have raised £7,000 which will support people living with Parkinson’s, their families and carers.

My very special thanks go to all our dedicated volunteers, without which we simply could not run this fantastic sponsored walk.
