The best places to cheer on England during Euro 2024 in South Tyneside this summer

The 2023-24 football season has drawn to a close and England have even made an appearance at St James Park as part of their pre tournament schedule, but now all eyes are on Germany ahead of Euro 2024.

The European Championships start in a matter of days and, now England have travelled to their base in Germany ahead of their three group stage fixtures, we are taking a look at some of the best places to cheer on Gareth Southgate’s squad in their latest attempt to bring football home.

From music venues to bars and pubs, these are some of the best places to watch England games this summer.

South Shields FC

There is no better place to watch England games this summer than the home of the region’s largest football club, South Shields FC.

The club are opening up the new bar in the main stand of the 1st Cloud Arena with tables available to book by contacting the club.

Greene King pubs

The pub company are looking to welcome fans to watch games in their sites across the region.

Calling for supporters to “watch the Euros the right way”, tables can be booked across the region including The Bamburgh and The Fountain in South Shields as well as The Ben Lomand and Prince of Wales in Jarrow as well as Hebburn’s Longship.

Sea Change Cafe

Situated in South Shields, the Ocean Road favourite is promising “a great atmosphere, top-notch vegan and vegetarian food and a decent pint of craft beer” as fans cheer on England.

The site is showing all three England games as well as the tournament’s opening fixture, all four quarter finals and the final.

Hogarth’s

This Stanhope Street pub are claiming to show every game throughout Euro 2024 this summer with no need to book tables for the time being.

Sizzling Pubs

Another pub brand getting into the tournament hype this year is Sizzling Pubs.

Venues across the North East including The County in South Shields will be showing every kick of the Euros this summer with table bookings available now.

England’s group fixtures this summer are as follows:

Serbia vs England: Sunday, June 16 - 8pm

Denmark vs England: Thursday, June 20 - 5pm

England vs Slovenia: Tuesday, June 25 - 8pm
