Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter has a number of animals that are looking for their forever home.
The shelter, which was established in 1896, helps animals that are unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned - as well as reuniting lost animals with their owners and finding loving new homes for those who are no longer wanted.
Here are 15 cute animals who are in need of a home - you can find out more at: https://www.dogandcatshelter.com/.

9. Hilda (Jack Russell Terrier)
Hilda is a sweet little lady who arrived at the shelter as a stray. She can be a little shy, but is a happy little lady. She thoroughly enjoys her walks and being out and about with people. She settled into her new life in the shelter quite quickly and hasn’t been much of a bother at all, she is quiet and clean in her kennel but gets very excited when it is her turn to come out! | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
10. Clementine
Clementine is a young girl who, sadly, is struggling with the shelter environment. She is currently showing very conflicting behaviours – she appears as though she wants attention and will enjoy a small amount of fuss, before quickly changing her mind and asking for space. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
11. Felicia (Cane Corso)
Felicia is a very young lady who didn’t have the best start in life, however she is still one of the friendliest and happiest little ladies the shelter has met! She is energetic and affectionate, but has lacked in training and socialisation so this will need worked on from the very beginning. She loves everyone she meets and is playful with other dogs. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
12. Sabrina (Crossbreed)
Sabrina is a very sweet girl who has been a pleasure to care for during her time here at the shelter. She is young and energetic and will need owners who can keep up with her!
