Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter has a number of animals that are looking for their forever home.
The shelter, which was established in 1896, helps animals that are unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned - as well as reuniting lost animals with their owners and finding loving new homes for those who are no longer wanted.
Here are 15 cute animals who are in need of a home - you can find out more at: https://www.dogandcatshelter.com/.
Take a look and see if you can open your heart and home to a new four-legged friend!
13. Jack (Cockapoo Crossbreed)
Overall Jack is a lovely little lad. He can be nervous in new environments and sometimes when meeting new people, but once he has gained his confidence, he is a real sweet lad! He loves a fuss and will come sit on your knee for attention if given the opportunity! | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
14. Julian
Julian is a wonderful young lad who didn’t take long to make himself at home here at the shelter. Although he was a little shy initially, he soon warmed up and showed staff and volunteers what a sweet boy he is! He will often be waiting at the front his pen to say hello to his human friends and will be straight over for a fuss. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
15. Squid (Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross)
Squid is a million miles an hour dog, he always wants to be doing something and doing it quickly! He is a bright and active boy, boisterous at times, and ready to go at 100mph at all times. He can pull on lead and is quite strong so would benefit from a capable owner who can work on his lead skills. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
16. Claudia
Claudia is a wonderful little lady who heartbreakingly was abandoned here at the shelter, so we have no background information on her previous life. She is blind and our vets suspect she has been so since birth. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
