Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter has a number of animals that are looking for their forever home.
The shelter, which was established in 1896, helps animals that are unwanted, neglected, abused and abandoned - as well as reuniting lost animals with their owners and finding loving new homes for those who are no longer wanted.
Here are 15 cute animals who are in need of a home - you can find out more at: https://www.dogandcatshelter.com/.

9. Francine (Cane Corso)
Francine is a very sweet young lady who arrived into our care after having a bit of a tough start in life. This doesn’t seem to have impacted her feelings towards people, she is super confident and friendly when meeting new people. She has missed out on some early socialisation and training so it is important that she now gets to do that, her new family will need to spend the time going through standard puppy training with her and continuing her socialisation with people and other dogs. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

10. Stripe and Perdie (Jack Russell Terrier)
Stripe & Perdie are a wonderful male and female pair. They are a bonded duo and love spending their time together – often curling up on the same bed or running round with their toys! These two little crackers are full of character – they can be quite vocal and excitable – especially when it’s time to go out for a walk! They are a joy to spend time with and have enjoyed having some days in the office with shelter staff. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

11. Kiki (Crossbreed)
Kiki is a wonderful girl who has had a poor start to life. The shelter don’t know too much about the life she had before she arrived into our care, but we know it hasn’t been a pleasant one. Despite what she’s been through, Kiki quickly made friends with staff and has been a wonderful, sweet girl. She was also pregnant when she arrived at the shelter and has since had 7 happy, healthy puppies (who are currently in the process of being rehomed). | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

12. Sparkles (Staffordshire Bull Terrier Crossbreed)
Sparkles came into care as a stray with nine puppies with her and was extremely underweight. She absolutely loves people, nobody is a stranger to Sparkles. She spent her first weeks with the shelter being an amazing mother to all nine of her pups, who found their forever homes, and now it is her turn to find all the love and care this amazing girl truly deserves. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
