5. King (Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Collie Cross)
King is a lovely young boy who is full of energy! He shows both Collie and Staffie traits, so requires an experienced owner who has plenty of time to dedicate to his training. He needs an active family who can keep up with his physical needs, but also provide him with plenty of mental stimulation – this intelligent boy is so switched on and needs to keep his brain busy. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

6. Tye (Lurcher)
Tye is a lovely young lad who is a quite a sensitive soul. He was a very nervous boy initially when he first arrived here at the shelter and sadly still seems to be struggling with the kennel environment. However, once out and about and away from the noise of the shelter, Tye feels much more relaxed and is able to let his guard down and show staff more of his true, lovely, daft personality! | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

7. Julian
Julian is a wonderful young lad who didn’t take long to make himself at home here at the shelter. Although he was a little shy initially, he soon warmed up and showed staff and volunteers what a sweet boy he is! He will often be waiting at the front his pen to say hello to his human friends and will be straight over for a fuss. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

8. Tuesday (Lurcher)
Tuesday is a beautiful, gentle soul who can initially be a little nervous when first meeting people but will happily interact with you when she feels at ease. Tuesday enjoys going out for a walk and having the opportunity to sniff out and explore the environment around her. She walks very politely on her lead and enjoys a treat when she’s out on a wander. | Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter
