Thief had foil-lined bag to help steal clothes from Debenhams

The following people have been dealt with at South Tyneside Magistrates' Court:

Danielle Thompson, 34, of The Avenue, Wallsend, was given a 24-month conditional discharge for attempting to steal £537 worth of clothing from Debenhams, in Waterloo Square, South Shields, and having an article in her possession for use in a theft, namely a foil-lined bag, on Tuesday, December 1.

She was also ordered to pay a criminal courts charge of £180 and a victim surcharge of £15.

Lisa Ash, 27, of Newmarket Walk, South Shields, was given a six-month conditional discharge for stealing a bottle of Dundalgan liqueur worth £3.99 from Lidl, in Laygate, South Shields, on Friday, November 27. She must also pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £15 victim surcharge.

Rowan Evans, 22, of Parkside Crescent, Seaham, was fined £80 for wilfully obstructing a police constable in the execution of his duty in South Tyneside on Tuesday, October 20.

She was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of 385 and a £20 victim surcharge.

Caitlyn Wake, 20, of West Avenue, South Shields, was given a 12-month conditional discharge for being in charge of a dog which was dangerously out of control in South Tyneside on Wednesday, August 26.

She was fined £85, must pay a £15 victim surcharge and the dog must be muzzled and kept on a secure lead by a person at least 16 years old

Toni Gutteridge, 23, of Wansbeck Road, Jarrow, was banned from driving for 14 months and fined £405 for failing to provide a specimen of urine for analysis at South Shields police station on Friday, September 4.

She was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £620 and a £41 victim surcharge.

Kirsty Vaughan, 26, of Australia Grove, South Shields, was ordered to pay compensation of £200 for damaging a Vauxhall car in South Tyneside on Saturday, August 22.

She must also pay prosecution costs of £85.
