The night will give ticket holders a unique opportunity to vote for which South Tyneside project they would like the money raised to be donated to.

The money raised from Stand Up for Groundwork will support one of its ongoing projects - either the restoration of the Anglo-Saxon reproduction buildings at Jarrow Hall, a new outdoor playground for children visiting the site, or a new “Hobbit” House at the charity’s children’s educational centre West Boldon Lodge.

Andrew Watts, chief executive of Groundwork STAN says he is delighted to be welcoming the acts.

He said: “The comedy fundraiser is a great opportunity for the community to come together for a light-hearted evening of entertainment, while having the chance to vote in community projects that are going to impact in the region.
