Tidy notice for the board
So South Marine Park and, for the first time, West Park in Jarrow have been awarded the prestigious Green Flag Award by environment charity '˜Keep Britain Tidy'.
Meanwhile at Mowbray Park, South Shields (not to be confused with Mowbray Park in Sunderland), a couple of months ago a fancy double fronted notice board appeared adjacent to a litter bin by its main entrance on Mowbray Road, but as I write this it’s been noticed that no notices as yet have appeared on the said notice board.
However, may I suggest to South Tyneside Council the following notice which could be placed inside one of its glass panels: “Please Keep Britain Tidy and place your rubbish in one of the litter bins provided – thank you.”
