Here's what you need to know to keep you on the move this morning.

TRAFFIC - 9.30am

Previous congestion on A1300 John Reid Road westbound from A1018 King George Road to A194 Leam Lane has now cleared.

There has been a collision on the A184 eastbound after J69 A1 Gateshead exit by the railway and footbridge. Five vehicles have collided, lane two is closed.

TYNE AND WEAR METRO - 8.11am

Two additional peak services between Pelaw and Regent Centre or Monkseaton are cancelled due to train faults. Trains may be busier than normal.

Due to an earlier signalling fault at Pelaw there are delays from South Hylton - Monument of up to 10 minutes.

Metros are suspended all day St James - Wallsend for essential repairs on overhead lines. Replacement bus 900 operating in affected area at a 15 minute or less frequency and Metro ticket acceptance on Go Northeast and Stagecoach buses.

SHIELDS FERRY - 6.20am
