Metro passengers warned abuse will not be tolerated

Tyne and Wear Metro have told travellers that any abuse will not be tolerated by either Metro staff or the bus company employees driving replacement buses.

A spokesman for the service, said: "Abuse will not be tolerated towards Metro staff or bus company staff driving replacement buses. We will not be able to operate any replacement buses if bus drivers are unwilling to drive replacement buses due to being subjected to abuse."
