Trains and peak services cancelled on Metro network as industrial action limits driver availability

Nexus, which operates the Tyne and Wear Metro, confirmed that trains and peak services were cancelled on Wednesday, December 11 due to industrial action by the RMT union, which has affected driver availability.
Customers have been warned that trains will be busy – and that those wishing to travel should leave additional time for their journey, or consider taking the Metro outside of peak hours.
