Metro services hit by delays and cancellations as passengers are urged to leave extra time for travel

Metro passengers have been urged to leave extra time for their journey due to a number of cancellations and delays today, Monday, October 26.

The service has said the network has been hit by the cancellation of some services due to driver availability.

A spokesperson for Metro shared the update via Twitter and told followers: “Please leave extra time for your journey. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.”

The trains were delayed starting their routes on Monday due to the over-running of engineering work at the weekend, before the issue was resolved.

Trains are now running to all destinations, but not to the timetable, with an apology offered by bosses.
