Passengers using LNER train services set to face delays as heavy rain causes flooding

Passengers looking to travel on LNER services on Thursday, January 21 are being advised that they could face delays to their journey due to flooding.
The train company tweeted to say that all lines between Darlington and York are blocked due to heavy rain fall.

Those travelling are advised that buses are being organised to run between the two stations and that rail operator CrossCountry have arranged LNER ticket acceptance on any “reasonable route”.
A statement on the LNER website said: “All lines are blocked between Darlington and York due to flooding on the railway.
“Trains are unable to run between these stations. Buses are being organised to run between these stations.
"CrossCountry have arranged ticket acceptance with LNER and Northern via any reasonable route."
