LNER Tweeted that a points failure at York was affecting all services passing through the station this afternoon.

East Coast Mainline Services between Northumberland and Durham and the Capital pass through the station, and it is also the point at which Grand Central trains from Sunderland and Hartlepool join the main line.

LNER says the fault has now been rectified and services are back to normal.
