Warning to Metro passengers as overhead power line fault closes one platform of Jarrow station
Metro passengers using Jarrow station are being urged to check train destinations as services in both directions are using the same platform.

The service Tweeted last night that platform 1 is closed due to an overhead line problem.
Engineers are on-site but repairs are not expected to be finished until later this week.
Until then, platform 2 will be used for services towards both Newcastle and South Shields and passengers are being asked to check the front of the train before boarding.
