The long-running show, which is broadcast across the globe, took over the Steamboat pub and the Mission to Seafarers to shoot scenes last year.

The series stars Brenda Blethyn as the eponymous Vera Stanhope, a driven and dedicated with the fictional Northumberland & City Police.

The show is based on a series of best-selling novels by crime author Ann Cleeves and has made a successful transition from the page to the small screen.
