Two call-outs for South Shields Volunteer Life Brigade

South Shields Volunteer Life Brigade has responded to two emergency calls today.

The team was called out at 1.20pm with colleagues from Sunderland Coastguard Rescue Team, Tynemouth RNLI inshore lifeboat, Northumbria Police and North East Ambulance Service Hazardous Area Rescue Team to an incident in South Tyneside.

The incident was dealt with by police officers.

The team was paged again shortly after 3pm to Camels Island after a report of a person cut off

The individuals who were fishermen and in no danger.
