Unemployed can help out

Here’s an idea – why don’t all of the jobless people and pensioners, who have more than enough time on their hands, jump into action whenever we get a covering of the white stuff and help to clear it up?

It would help those who are employed get to work in time and would be a ‘thank you’ for all of the tax we pay that goes towards their pensions and benefits.

And in this age of obesity and bad health, it would give some of them some much-needed exercise.

I’m sure most people will read this letter and think it’s a stupid idea, but give it a few minutes’ thought and you’ll see it makes sense.

It would be especially useful if they at least cleared the pavements, which would help those older people who are less mobile.
