The 18-year-old forward, who has been in fine form all season during his loan spell at Coventry City, netted for the Young Lions just eight minutes after stepping off the bench in their 2-0 win over Spain.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Josh Onomah gave Aidy Boothroyd’s side a sixth-minute lead, but England were indebted to another Newcastle man, goalkeeper Freddie Woodman for keeping them in the game.
