Speaking after last night's 4-0 defeat to Braga, Benitez said he "didn't know" if the club would make any more signings.

United's manager also suggested that off-the-field issues were affecting his players.

"When things are not going well off the pitch, you can see a reflection on the pitch," said Benitez, who has had to sell to buy this summer.

Newcastle's players, reportedly in dispute with the club over bonuses for the second season running, refused to speak to the media after the game at the Estadio Municipal de Braga.
