South Shields weather: A dry but cloudy January 23 in store

What will the weather be like in South Shields this morning?

It will start as it means to go on. Overcast and dry. There will be a gentle, south-westerly breeze and the temperature will be up to about 8C.

What about this afternoon?

It is expected to be very similar to the morning, but slightly warmer with the temperature creeping up to 9C.

What will the weather be like this evening and tonight in South Shields?

From about 5pm the temperature should drop back a little, but only to about 7C by midnight. The cloud will stop us from seeing much of the moon and the stars and the breeze will remain gentle.

What will the weather be like tomorrow?

The morning of January 24 is expected to be much the same as today, cloudy and dry with temperatures between 4C and 9C. Again, we won't see much sunshine, but rain is not expected either.

What is the long-term forecast for the North East?

The Met Office’s outlook for Friday to Sunday is: “Friday, cloudy with light rain. Cloudy again Saturday with strengthening winds and perhaps some rain later. Windy on Sunday with outbreaks of occasionally heavy rain.”
