South Tyneside weather: Will the borough see sun as lockdown restrictions are eased this week?
In the week which will see the reopening of some pubs, restaurants, cinemas and other leisure facilities – as well as the relaxing of social distancing rules to one metre - will the sunshine be on our side?
According to Met Office forecasters temperatures are set to be much cooler than last week (which saw highs of 30C) and we should expect mostly cloudy conditions.

Light showers changing to sunny intervals by lunchtime, with a maximum temperature of 18C.
Tuesday, June 30
Sunny intervals changing to cloudy by lunchtime and a maximum temperature of 19C.
Wednesday, July 1
Light rain changing to cloudy by lunchtime and a maximum temperature of 14C.
Thursday, July 2

What about the rest of the North East?
The Met Office predicts that Monday will be very changeable with showers or longer spells of rain, occasionally heavy over the western hills.
Tuesday will be bright or sunny with scattered showers.
There will be further scattered but mostly light showers on Wednesday and Thursday.
