Hide AdForecasters have warned that next week’s wet weather could lead to localised flooding, travel disruption and road closures.

Temperatures in the North East will remain mild through the predicted rainfall, with cloudier and cooler weather on the horizon from Wednesday onwards.
After the rain, Britain is expected to bask in heatwave temperatures, heading up to the almost-30°Cs.
But the North East will be largely left out, with our weather not getting much above 16°C.
