We’re inviting women to network in South Shields through a morning of inspirational discussion
A South Tyneside bar boss and an AI entrepreneur with a FTSE 100 track record are joining forces to prove women can do it for themselves as part of a new networking group.
Sinia Jazwi, 41, and Kaye Nicholson, 47, are inviting women with something to say and contribute to come together for a morning of inspirational discussion and chat.
The friends’ ‘Not All Women Wear Capes’ event – on Monday, March 9 – is also in support of International Women’s Day, which takes place 24 hours earlier.
It is being held at Sinia’s bar – previously named Trocaderos and Ziggy’s – in Prince George Square, South Shields town centre, from 8.30am until 12.30pm.

Speakers will include Sarah Cookson MBE, from the South Tyneside-based Charlie & Carter Foundation, and health educationalist Sharon McArthur, otherwise known as Ms Menopause.
Sinia, who has worked in the hospitality industry for 25 years, and Kaye, who has worked for blue chip firms, hope the monthly networking meetings will follow.
She said Sinia: “This is a free, community-led event, designed around real life – school runs, caring responsibilities, work, health, confidence and leadership.
“There will be no pressure and no corporate gloss, just honest conversation and connection. It is for busy women who don’t usually get two minutes for themselves to get together to share what they have and what they can give.”
She added: “By getting together once every month, we can network and find out ways that we can help South Shields and South Tyneside.
“This is about supporting women but also about promoting the positive and getting rid of negativity.
“We have named the event ‘Not All Women Wear Capes’ because we are all heroes.”
Kaye runs South Tyneside-based GrowthZoneAI, which works to help businesses use artificial intelligence in simple and practical ways.
She said: “We have some very impressive speakers and I’m hoping other, regionally well-known women will join us. There are no networking groups specifically for women in the borough and we really want to make a success of this.”
“We want to help women in South Tyneside and across the region who don’t feel part of a community.”
