The County Durham open air museum has been closed to the public since March due to coronavirus.
But the venue has now confirmed its reopening plans after the Government’s announcement that museums will be able to open again from next month.

Entry for all visitors at the “Living Museum of the North” will now have to be pre-booked, with time slots allocated.
Beamish’s deputy director, Rhiannon Hiles, said: “We’re excited to announce that we plan to reopen on Thursday, 23rd July and we can’t wait to welcome our visitors once again.
“The safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers is our top priority and there will be health and hygiene measures around the museum, including pre-booked entry time slots for all visitors.
