It is likely that Johnson, who was also cleared of a further charge by the jury, will face a jail sentence, with Judge Rose warning the footballer that it is "almost inevitable".
He also told the 28-year-old, of Castle Eden, County Durham, that he was being granted bail to "say goodbye to your daughter".
The starting point for the dad-of-one's offending is five years - but Judge Rose said that the range was between four and 10 years.
