Whitney Houston act set to wow South Shields fans
Belinda Davids walked away the winner of BBC One’s ‘Even Better Than The Real Thing’ on Saturday after wowing viewers with her Whitney Houston act.
Now fans can see her next week at The Customs House, South Shields.
The South African songstress has performed all over the world as the iconic singer in The Greatest Love of All: The Whitney Houston Show.
She was one of the acts brought together for the hour-long special on Saturday night, which featured tributes to George Michael, Madonna and Michael Jackson, among others.
After sailing through the first and second rounds and making it to the final three, Davids was voted the best act on the night by the live studio audience.
This followed a flawless performance of I Have Nothing and a duet with the Michael Jackson tribute act on ‘It’s Not Right But It’s OK’.
Presenter Paddy McGuinness tweeted afterwards: “A well-deserved winner!”
