Wonderful as Manuel
I was sorry to learn that the actor Andrew Sachs had died after a long illness aged 86.
Although starting his acting career on BBC radio way back in the 1950s and last seen on our television screens as Norris Cole’s long lost brother Ramsay Clegg in Corrie.
However, he will be best remembered for his wonderful comic role in Fawlty Towers as Manuel the confused Spanish waiter opposite John Cleese as Basil Fawlty, the guest hating owner of one of the most celebrated hotels in television history.
RIP.
