2 Robin Hood’s Bay, East CoastLike all the Treasure Trails, it is self-guided. This one is a smuggler’s trail, highlighting Robin Hood’s Bay’s link with the illicit trade rife in the 18th century.As you follow the Trail route, there are clues set on existing buildings, permanent features and monuments to discover the location of the buried treasure. The Trail starts in the car park in Station Road and winds down through narrow pedestrian streets to the coast before returning uphill to the start point. The route provides coastal views throughout as well as exploring the quaint lanes and houses that make up the seaside village.3 Roker SunderlandThe Trail starts at the beach car park at Roker and takes you around the marina and Roker Park.You will get plenty of sea air on this trail as you finish along the promenade by the beach, not far from where you started.The trail is in the nature of a spy mission with clues to find on existing buildings, permanent features and monuments.

Hide Ad4 NorthumberlandIncludes Alnwick, Berwick, Morpeth and WoolerFrom Alnwick to Wylam Waggonway, there is a Treasure Trail for all corners of the North East.Check out the Wicked Wizard of Alwick - a circular trail which starts in the Market Square and takes you around the small market village most famed for its castle’s links to Harry Potter. The route explores Baliffgate, St Michael’s Church and Pottergate as you come into contact with life gone by from every century for the past 700 years.Or follow Seahouses - Golden Kipper Trail. The route takes you along to North Sunderland and back to the harbour.The Amble Scandal Treasure Trail explores the riverside and dockside areas, as well as a wooden pier. 5 NorthamptonshireBrackley, Braunston Marina, Northampton, Oundle Town and River, Stoke BruerneThere are five trails to choose from in Northamptonshire.Brackley: starts in the Market Place, takes in the old village, before exploring Manor and Banbury Road, past St James Lake.Braunston: starts at the Boathouse Inn and takes you on a circular route up through the village.Oundle: starts at the Barnwell Country Park and takes you on a circular route through the old town streetNorthampton: figure of eight route around the historic places of the old town and past the marina to All Saints’ Church. Highlights include Hazelrigg House, St Katherine’s Memorial Gardens, The Guildhall and the Charles Rennie Mackintosh House in Derngate.Stoke Bruerne: starts at the Navigation Inn and takes you on a circular route through the small nature reserve.
6 Arundel, West SussexThe Trail starts at the museum entrance and passes the cathedral, St Nicholas’ Church and the castle. There are more clues to solve as you head back to the High Street, passing the oldest pub in the town before finishing back down by the river Arun at the ancient ruins. Nearby Midhurst Bognor Regis and Chichester are also available.

Hide Ad7 Blackpool, LancashireThe Trail starts in front of the North Pier and takes in the Grand Theatre and world-famous Blackpool Tower. Your finish point is along the promenade on the magnificent Comedy Carpet.
8 Leeds, YorkshireA Hunt around the heart of Leeds, past the Town Hall and alongside the cathedral. The folklore of Leeds’s legendary golden flute has been spun for generations. No one thought it really existed, until now. While tuning an ancient piano, Toni Setter discovered notes attached to the keys, which formed a map pointing to the hidden treasure. Help Toni solve the clues and unveil the mystical golden flute’s location.
9 Chesterfield, DerbyshireThe Trail starts at the Crooked Spire Church before taking you through the shopping streets, via the market square and then on to Queens Park, home to “the loveliest cricket ground in all the world”.The route then heads steeply uphill to the town hall before directing you back to the start point.Belper, Bakewell, Matlock and Eyam also available.

Hide Ad10 Sheffield, South YorkshireThe self-guided, treasure hunt adventure will take you through the heart of Sheffield.Explore the wonders of the tropical Winter Garden, marvel at the amazing architecture of iconic buildings and uncover twisting-tales from the past along the way. A mysterious map has been discovered by the local athletics club. It reads “If you’re able to solve this quest, you’ll soon find out I was the best. Whatever the season, summer or winter, I was the perfect athlete - Zippy Sprinter”. The map will lead to a trove of Zippy’s gold medals.
