19 crowd shots from the South Shields Bents Park South Tyneside Festival concerts- spot anyone you know?

The summer concerts have become a much-loved fixture of the South Tyneside Summer Festival.

Every year, thousands of people rock up to Bents Park, South Shields, to see a host of acts from across the musical spectrum.

This year’s free concerts kick off tomorrow (Sunday), with headline act Marti Pellow, of Wet, Wet, Wet fame.

To get you into the mood, here is a selection of pictures from years gone by – can you spot yourself on any of our shots?

The Sunday gigs are a huge highlight in the festival calendar and a great way to enjoy the outdoors with the family.

Marti has promised concertgoers all the hits, so expect the likes of Love Is All Around, Wishing I Was Lucky, Goodnight Girl and Julia Says.

He will be joined by support acts, boyband New Rules, who recently released their new song Fix Somebody, and local group The Good Souls, covering a range of songs from The Killers to Oasis.

Gates open tomorrow at noon for Priority Plus ticket holders and 12.45pm for general admission.

There’s a limited amount of food and drink stalls on the park site.

A number of stars will perform in Bents Park over the coming weeks, with the Lightning Seeds and Phats and Small on July 21, followed by Midge Ure and Nick Heyward on July 28..

Pop star Gabrielle, famous for No. 1 singles Dreams and Rise, will headline the final concert of the series on August 4.
