Visitors to Drewetts Park in Jarrow were transported back in time 10 years ago this week when locals got a taste of medieval life,
Sword fights, archery skills and a variety of old-fashioned crafts were on offer in 2016 and we have all these photos to remember it by from the Shields Gazette archives.
Despite the overcast weather, people packed out the park in Church Bank as they watched sword fight re-enactments, tested their knowledge of medieval times and enjoyed a host of fair ground rides.
Visitors were also able to get up close and personal with a range of owls and birds of prey and we got it all on camera.
We would love to hear from you if you were in one of our Shields Gazette archive photos.
