It was South Shields first nightclub and it still holds a place in the hearts of many people.
La Strada in Mill Dam was first opened in 1961 and was still pulling in customers in the 1990s but we wonder how many of these facts you knew about the popular venue.
A hypnotist with a humorous act, a singer who represented Britain and even a competition to choose a new name all made the Shields Gazette headlines in the past.
We are sharing them all once more so have a look at our photo memories and see how many you remember.
Or perhaps you would like to tell us about other types of nostalgia you would want to see in our retro section.
It might be memories of your favourite shop, club, nightclub or restaurant. Maybe you want to get back in touch with former workmates from a factory, or with pals who you went to school with.
Or perhaps you would like to share memories of a sporting occasion in the past which you would like to revisit.
