Dust off those old clubs as we share memories of golf in South Tyneside over the years.
It’s National Golf Day, at least it is in the USA, but that’s a good enough reason to dive back into the Shields Gazette archives for a bag full of local photo memories.
We have scenes from 1967 to earlier this year showing practice sessions, competitions, charity days and a Christmas function in the club house.
Have a look and see if you can spot someone you know.
Or maybe you would like to tell us about some other aspect of South Tyneside’s past you would like us to spotlight.
It could be your favourite school, pub, club, shop or nightclub from decades ago.
Perhaps you want to reminisce on former colleagues you have worked with or players you have lines up alongside in a sports team.
Whatever the reason for getting in touch, tell us more by emailing [email protected]
