We are going patriotic for the day to look at archive photos all linked to St George’s Day.
And what a selection it is from Sunderland and South Tyneside with fish and chips, face painting, a music festival, a car painted in red and white and even a curry with a St George’ Day theme.
The annual celebration honours the patron saint of England, representing bravery and the legend of St George and the Dragon and the occasion is always marked close to home.
All of these photos come from the Sunderland Echo and Shields Gazette archives and span from 2004 to 2018.
But we want to know if you were pictured celebrating in Southwick, South Shields, Maxwell Street Motors or Monkwearmouth at the Jacksons pub.
Tell us if you have spotted someone you know in our archive collection by emailing [email protected]
