Aww bless! All of these children were pictured having a great time at the kindergartens of Sunderland and South Tyneside.
And what better day is there to celebrate these great scenes than on National Kindergarten Day.
There are photo memories from 2003 to 2022 and they take in Fulwell Grange, Premier, First Steps and Briery in Sunderland as well as Bede Burn, Westoe Village, Nursery Time and Harton in South Tyneside.
Join us for recollections from the Sunderland Echo and Shields Gazette archives.
National Kindergarten Day is celebrated annually on April 21 to honor the importance of early childhood education and the birthday of Friedrich Froebel, the man who created the first "kindergarten" in 1837.
