Hebburn Town completed the loan signing of Hartlepool United winger Kian Foreman on Tuesday afternoon.

Hebburn Town FC manager Daniel Moore believes Hartlepool United youngster Kian Foreman can give his side ‘a different dimension’ after the winger returned for a second loan spell at the Trustmark Group Stadium.

Foreman enjoyed an overwhelmingly positive loan stint with the Hornets last season as they made a successful push for the Northern Premier League Premier Division title - and he made his mark by scoring three goals in 18 appearances and winning the NPL’s Goal of the Month award for a stunning individual effort against Whitby Town in January. However, Foreman saw out the season in the colours of National League North club Spennymoor Town after Pools opted to challenge the winger at a higher level.

That is the level where Hebburn will now compete following their historic promotion last season - and Moore has stressed the young winger will ‘play an even bigger part’ during the new campaign as his side aim to impress in the second tier of the non-league game.

He told The Gazette: “Kian played a big part for us last year - and I think he’ll play an even bigger part for us during the coming season. I am absolutely delighted to get him back here. He gives us a different dimension and I love that he pushed to come back here because that means so much. The kid has just turned 18 so it’s a big thing for us to be trusted with this next step in his development. It’s hats off to the way we do things because if you look around, we have some good young kids in there and they are developing. They have come to the club looking to make the next step so we hope we can hopefully do that with Kian and help his development.”

Foreman will now focus his attention on the Hornets next pre-season game as they travel to former Northern Premier League Premier Division rivals Morpeth Town on Saturday afternoon (2pm kick-off) before they host parent club Hartlepool United next Tuesday night.
