Hebburn Town rename their ground after selling rights to new sponsor The Energy Check
Hebburn Town FC have sold the naming right to their ground to an energy company as part of a new sponsorship deal.
The Hornets today revealed a major sponsorship partnership with North East-based The Energy Check in a two-year contract.
The deal will see Hebburn Sports Ground renamed as The Energy Check Sports Ground. In addition to the ground re-naming the energy company will manage the facilities energyaccounts and has become one of the clubs official main commercial partners prominent both inside the ground and across the football club media outlets.
The club's director of football Stephen Rutherford said: "We've been working in the background for a couple of months on this deal with local businessman David Winton, the CEO of The Energy Check, and our allocated commercial partnership manager from the company Andrew Brewer to ensure we secured the best partnership outcome for both the football club and The Energy Check.
"It's great to see local businesses support our club's vision and objectives we have set out in our five-year plan. I firmly believe this is just the start of a excellent future with The Energy Check but also an opportunity for other potential commercial partners to come forward and listen to our project and plans and get involved.
