Hebburn Town unveil highly-rated Consett forward Ali Alshabeeb as first summer signing
The highly-rated winger was in the Consett side that were beaten by the Hornets in the 2019/20 FA Vase Final last month.
Alshabeeb opened the scoring with a neat finish from a narrow angle on 18 minutes and provided a constant menace to the Hebburn defence – but was unable to prevent his side falling to a 3-2 defeat at Wembley.

Hide AdThe former Newton Aycliffe and Team Northumbria player will now form part of the Hebburn squad that will compete in the Northern Premier League for the first time after penning a one-year deal at the Green Energy Sports Ground on Tuesday.
He told the club website: “I’m delighted to have signed for such a great club, the ambition and development of Hebburn are amazing, and I am hopeful I can help bring more success to the club.
“For me it’s a new team, a higher league and a tougher challenge which I’ve always wanted, so I’m eager and looking forward to get going next season.
“I’m glad I came to an agreement with Hebburn early on as the transfer period can get a little stressful at times.
“Now my main focus is to keep fit preparing for pre-season.

Alshabeeb could make his Hebburn debut when his new side host Gateshead in their opening pre-season friendly on Tuesday, 6th July.
