Jarrow eye a rise up Wearside League table

They have Peter Kane, Liam Bayles, Kai Elliott, Alexander Bone, Dean Black and Nick Pain all available again having missed last week’s game at Prudhoe.

Grant Pressling trained midweek and is expected to be fit at the weekend.

However, there are doubts with James Allsop and Andy Barclay, while Fin Lynch and Darren Morton are both unavailable.

Oliver Bone rejoins the squad having missed the last eight weeks through injury.

Jarrow manager Dave Bell said: “We are looking to pick up from the way we finished the game last week, and continue to look for the consistency of performance.

“We played really well in the second half last week following a first half that was way below standard.

“We played Wolviston at home at the end of January and won 7-2, but we know that result counts for nothing going into this game.

“We are concentrating on getting our performance at a consistently high level throughout games and not just in spells.

“We know we can do this from our performance against Stockton and our last two results have been positive.

“We now sit midtable and continue with our aim of climbing the league, but know we need to go on a decent run to achieve this.

“I really believe we can do this with the players we have and our challenge is to get that consistency.”

A minute’s silence will be held before Boldon CA’s tie with Annfield Plain in memory of long-serving vice president George Taylor.

Chairman Kevin Oliver said: “George was a great supporter of the club for many, many years and will be a big miss.”

Manager Paul Mossa will be without captain and centre-half Aaron Burn for the remainder of the season because of work commitments and also absent tomorrow are David Conroy, Adam Sharp and Frank Hucks.
