Despite the takeover of the club putting Newcastle among the world’s richest clubs, Newcastle have been very clever with their business in the transfer market and have refused to sign ‘superstars’ based on name value alone.
Their work in the market has seen them rise from relegation candidates to European hopefuls in just one season, however, will they have to break this policy in-order to make that jump into the Premier League’s elite group?
This, of course, will likely be dependent on which, if any, European competition Newcastle are playing in next season.
Here, we take a look at 11 global superstars that Sky Bet believe could be on their way to St James’ Park this summer.

6. Kylian Mbappe (14/1)
Ever since the takeover of the club, Mbappe has been linked with a move to Tyneside.
