Josy Comhair, Trossard's agent, revealed this month that the winger wanted to leave the Amex Stadium – and the 28-year-old has been linked with Newcastle United. Trossard is under contract at the Amex Stadium until the summer of 2024.

After revealing Trossard had been “grounded” by Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi, Comair said: "It’s important that Brighton cooperates with a potential transfer, which is beneficial for both parties.”

Arsenal are in talks with Brighton over a move for Trossard after missing out on Mykhailo Mudryk, according to reports. Mudryk, 22, joined Chelsea in an £88.5million deal.
