Mikel Arteta’s side arrive at St James’ Park just three days after playing away to La Liga side Villarreal in the semi-finals of the Europa League.
The scoreline is 2-1 in favour of the Spanish club but everything is still to play for during the second-leg tie at the Emirates next week.
With that game in mind, Arteta is expected to ring the changes – and we predict what starting XI the 39-year-old will name:

5. Cedric Soares
With Kieran Tierney out injured and Granit Xhaka deputising at left-back in recent weeks, Soares could be drafted in. Photo: Catherine Ivill

6. Mohamed Elneny
Elneny could be handed a rare start in midfield as Mikel Arteta debates to resting the likes of Thomas Partey. Photo: Pool

7. Granit Xhaka
A move back into midfield would be welcomed by Xhaka having played the last five games as a makeshift left-back. Photo: Pool

8. Dani Ceballos
