Steve Bruce’s side still have a game in hand on the 18th-placed Cottagers but that could quickly evaporate when they face Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Fulham have now picked up eight points from their last four games and have given themselves a chance of survival heading into the final 13 matches.

@BorisBedd: I still think #NUFC will stay up, but it will almost certainly be a lot closer than it should be. If a miracle could happen and we snatch a point at Old Trafford and all three against Wolves, then it would be back to 7 pts and that would knock some wind out of Fulham’s sails. If.

@_LiamJLang_: Imagine a season where we are threatened by Fulham

@stevengoica83: It’s definitely not just Newcastle & Fulham for the last spot I’d say, Palace, Burnley, Brighton & Even Southampton are in it.

@tonytoonarmy74: After tonight, I think the next two games are critical to how this season/our future pans out! Lose against United, massive pressure will be on Ashley/Charnley to act before Wolves! Fulham look like they have that belief now.

@MitchellRob738: Fulham winning is Bad, Ashley won’t react until we are in the bottom 3, it will be too late then to save us

@MattyLead1: Newcastle are going down and Fulham are staying up. Listen to the managers for proof. Scott Parker doing a great job, full of fighting and realistic talk. Steve Bruce is always full of fake “hope”. No Wilson equals no points. Disaster awaits the toon

@Denster85: I just didn't see Fulham doing what they are. Trouble ahead.

@TOONARMYTV: You'd think we have been relegated tonight. Yes Fulham are three points behind us, rather than being negative get behind the squad. The lads need us more than ever, let's get behind them.

@TOONRafalution: Fulham are playing decent football, but most importantly they are conceding very few goals.

@KevinNufc: There is not just Fulham in this battle there is Brighton, Palace Wolves, Newcastle. Anyone could go down
