Brazilian sensation among Championship talent Newcastle United could chase this summer
The second tier of English football is becoming renowned as a hotbed for developing talented footballers - only this week, Bayern Munich closed in on a deal for Reading's Omar Richards - and the 2020/21 season has seen a number of Championship players put themselves in the shop window for a big move this summer.
Newcastle United are likely to be recruiting some new talent in the summer, as they look to improve on a fairly underwhelming second season under Steve Bruce. Here's a look at 13 Championship stars who the Magpies could target in the upcoming summer transfer window:

5. Emiliano Buendia - Norwich City
Let's be honest, there's no contest here - Buendia is the best player in the Championship. He's smashed the division to bits this season, scoring ten goals and making as many assists. He's likely to cost around £40m, mind! Photo: Stephen Pond

6. Michal Helik - Barnsley
Barnsley's terrific 2020/21 campaign currently sees them on the verge of breaking into the play-off spots. Helik has really impressed in his debut season in England, and could continue to thrive at a bigger club. Photo: Nathan Stirk

7. Michael Olise - Reading
The dynamic midfielder was linked with the likes of Leeds United and Spurs last summer, and has all the attributes necessary to thrive in the top tier. The Hammersmith-born teenager has represented France at youth level. Photo: Alex Pantling

8. Joao Pedro - Watford
Do Watford have another Richarlison on there hands? Quite possibly. Plucked from Brazilian side Fluminese - just like Richarlison - the 19-year-old has scored three goals in his last five matches, but was sent off against Bournemouth last time out. Photo: Richard Heathcote
