Brendan Rodgers talks Hamza Choudhury's Leicester City future amid Newcastle United loan links

Speaking ahead of the transfer window closing tonight, Rodgers addressed the potential exit of Choudhury to Newcastle United, with Steve Bruce lining up the former England under-21 international as a loan target before the 11pm deadline.

"Hamza is a boy we are not rushing out the door,” said Rodgers of the out-of-favour, combative midfielder.

"If there was the possibility to get him out playing we would look at, but that is not to say he won’t play an important role for us."

United are keen to add at least one player to their squad today, with the exit of DeAndre Yedlin to Galatasaray freeing up a space in the club’s 25-man Premier League squad.

Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock could also arrive on loan, after the Magpies made a loan enquiry.
