Bruno Guimaraes breaks silence on heated Newcastle United exchange
Bruno Guimaraes and Joe Willock had a spat during Newcastle United’s 3-1 win against West Ham United.
Bruno Guimaraes has insisted he and Joe Willock are “friends again” following their on-field spat.

The pair clashed during the second half of Newcastle United’s final Premier League home game of the season against West Ham United on Sunday evening.
Newcastle were 3-1 up and searching for a fourth goal when Willock opted against passing to Guimaraes or Anthony Elanga, instead shooting from a tight angle and seeing his effort deflected behind for a corner.

Annoyed at Willock’s decision-making, Guimaraes made his feelings known to the former Arsenal man, and it doesn’t take an expert lip reader to know what he said back.
It ended up getting quite heated with Guimaraes needing to be restrained by Dan Burn before heading over to take the resulting corner.

The altercation didn’t go unnoticed, so much so that both players have felt the need to quash it publicly on social media.
Commenting on Willock’s post on Instagram, Guimaraes wrote: “Friends again 😂😍 great A willockinho”. Willock then replied with “my captain❤️”
Newcastle United double injury concern
Guimaraes and Willock could line up alongside each other when Newcastle travel to Fulham for the final game of the season this Sunday.
Willock started on the bench against West Ham United before coming on in the 53rd minute after Sandro Tonali was forced off with a hamstring injury.
Howe doesn’t believe Tonali’s issue to be serious and will be assessed alongside Joelinton to see if the pair can be involved at Craven Cottage.
